Jogighopa: Situated about 35 km south of Bongaigaon, Jogighopa is a historical place. It was the site of an Ahom fort and European colony. The religious importance of Jogighopa, where caves were sanctified by different ascetics, is enhanced by the Dudhnath temple with its rock- cut images of Siva and Parbati. It is an important river port and a vital trade centre. The Ashok Paper Mill located here is one of the State’s major industries. The Naranarayan Setu over the Brahmaputra connects Jogighopa with the south bank at pancharatna, Goalpara.
