Singri Temple: The Singri Temple is towards west of Tezpur town at a distance of about 45 km. This temple has been mentioned in the Kalika Puran as Shringatak. It is said that one can attain penance by worshipping here. As the Shiva Linga of this temple remains under water, the temple is also known as Gupteshwar. It is derived from the word Gupta which means hidden and Eshwar denotes God. A big mela organised on Shivaratri draws hordes of devotees to the temple.
